The OTHM Level 3 Foundation Diploma in Health and Social Care aims to give students the fundamental information, comprehension, and abilities needed for a career as a care assistant, senior support worker, or support worker in the health and social care industry. Through the program, students can satisfy national occupational criteria by showcasing their abilities through evidence from their job activities. Students will gain skills that will help them go to further education or support a career in the health and social care industry.
Students can advance academically to a variety of undergraduate programs, including OTHM Level 4 diplomas, upon successfully completing the OTHM Level 3 Foundation Diploma for Higher Education Studies.
The OTHM Level 3 Foundation Diploma in Health and Social Care can be offered to learners from age 18. OTHM does not specify entry requirements for these qualifications. OTHM ensures that learners admitted to the programme have sufficient capability at the right level to undertake the learning and assessment criteria.
OTHM Centre must ensure learners are recruited with integrity onto appropriate qualifications that will meet their needs, enable and facilitate learning and achievement enable progression. The qualification is offered in English.
English requirements: If a learner is not from a majority English-speaking country must provide evidence of English language competency.
In addition to being flexible enough to suit part-time and online learning, the certificate is intended to be taught over a 12-month period for full-time study. Only authorized institutions offer the qualification in-person, via distance learning, online, tutorials, seminars, and lectures. Note That this comes with an EXTRA FEES
OTHM qualifications at RQF Level 3 represent practical knowledge, skills, capabilities and competences that are assessed in academic terms as being equivalent to GCE AS/A Levels.
The OTHM Level 3 Foundation Diploma in Health and Social Care consists of 6 mandatory units for a combined total of 60 credits, 600 hours Total Qualification Time (TQT) and 120 Guided Learning Hours (GLH) for the completed qualification.
The qualification is designed to be delivered over 12 months for full-time study, but it is also flexible in its delivery in order to accommodate part-time and distance learning. The qualification is delivered face-to-face, through lectures, tutorials, seminars, distance, online by approved centres only.
